Pearl Jam Rocks Australia in 2024 Tour :
Get ready, Aussie fans! The iconic American rock band Pearl Jam is set to make a triumphant return to Australia in 2024.
As one of the defining acts of the ’90s grunge scene, Pearl Jam has captivated audiences worldwide with their unforgettable hits from albums like ‘Ten’ and ‘Vs.’ Now, they’re gearing up for an epic 35-date world tour, which includes three highly anticipated shows in Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney in November. And that’s not all – joining them on stage for these special Australian gigs are none other than alt-rock legends, Pixies.
But that’s not the only exciting news on the horizon. Pearl Jam is also releasing their much-anticipated 12th studio album, ‘Dark Matter,’ set to drop on April 19th. Fans can already pre-order the album, with the title track recently unleashed for listeners’ enjoyment.
Recorded at the renowned Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, ‘Dark Matter’ saw Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron plugging in their instruments and jamming away under the guidance of producer Andrew Watt, who clinched the 2021 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year.
In a whirlwind three-week span, ‘Dark Matter’ came to life. Vedder himself expressed his excitement, reminiscing during the band’s ‘Dark Matter’ listening party at the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood. “We’re still looking for ways to communicate…putting something out there that is meaningful and our best work,” he shared.
Ament echoed Vedder’s sentiments, praising the band’s camaraderie and Watt’s infectious enthusiasm. “His excitement was contagious… I feel so grateful for the fans, but mostly for my brothers and these people I’ve made music with,” Ament reflected.
